Questions

The ones we hear most

Still unsure? Send it with a review request and an advisor will answer it directly rather than sending a brochure.

What does a rate review cost?

Nothing, and there is no obligation attached to it. Send a recent processing statement and we will walk you through where the money goes, line by line, then tell you whether either platform beats what you already have.

Do I have to switch platforms to work with PayVault?

No. PayVault runs your payments on one of two engines, and which one we recommend depends on what you process. Sometimes the honest answer is that your current setup is fine for now, and we will say so.

How do I know which of the two engines is right for me?

Send us a recent statement and we will read it for you. Broadly, PayVault Signature suits hospitality, field service and partners who want hands-on support, while PayVault Commerce suits retail, eCommerce, larger-ticket merchants, software platforms and established portfolios.

How quickly can I be taking payments?

Once your application is complete we submit it the same day. Most merchants are approved within one to three business days after that, and hardware ship times depend on the device you choose. Your funding schedule is set at approval, and we tell you what it is before you sign.

What hardware do you support?

Smart countertop, mobile and kiosk terminals with a library of 300+ apps, PIN pads, a restaurant-ready point of sale, and mobile readers or phone tap-to-pay for field work. If you already own terminals, we check compatibility before recommending replacements.

How is card data protected?

Acceptance runs on PCI DSS Level 1 platforms with point-to-point encryption and tokenization, so stored payment data becomes tokens rather than raw card numbers. EMV and contactless are standard, and fraud tools can be layered on where your volume justifies them.

Can you put payments inside my own software?

Yes. PayVault integrated payments covers APIs, embedded checkout and tokenized card vaulting, so your platform can accept payments without building a processing stack from scratch.

I am an agent or ISO. How does that work?

You get the PayVault partner track. That means portfolio tools, residual reporting, access to the underwriting team, and the ability to place either engine depending on the merchant in front of you.
